MICHAEL'S PHONE CONVERSATION

My daughter, Melissa came to Santa Barbara to visit for a few days.

While she was here, she had several conversations with Michael and Lauren, her son and daughter.

One afternoon, Melissa was talking with Michael who is 7 years old. He had so much to tell her and was talking a mile a minute.

Then,all of a sudden he said;

Well Mom, I'm fresh out of ideas....Bye!

LAUREN'S BIRTHDAY GROWTH SPIRT

Michael ( Lauren's older brother) told her that on the night of her birthday...she would grow.

So, before she went to bed she put on extra large pajamas and measured herself against her Mom's stomach.

She woke her Mom up on her birthday morning and very excited shouted...I GROWED, I GROWED, JUST OVER THE NIGHT!      I GROWED UP!

To make the point to her Mom she put her hand on her head and measured up to Melissa's chest and exclaimed....

SEE...I GROWED RIGHT UP TO YOUR PRIVATES!

Melissa asked her how old she was now and she put her shoulders back and stood a little prouder when she said;

I AM 6 TODAY BUT TOMORROW...I WILL BE 6 AND 1/2!

You gotta love the way a child's mind thinks!

Happy Birthday, Lauren!

CAMERON...AGE 5

CAMERON, MY GRANDSON, WAS DIAGNOSED WITH JUVENILE DIABETES WHEN HE WAS 3.

YESTERDAY, THE HOSPITAL ASKED MY HUSBAND IF CAM WOULD BE THE POSTER CHILD FOR THE HOSPITAL AT THE DIABETES KICKOFF.

THE RALLY WAS HELD IN THE BEASLEY HALL AT THE HOSPITAL. SHERI AND SCOTT BROUGHT CAM AND HE WAS SUPPOSED TO THROW THE T-SHIRT FOR THE WALK FOR DIABETES TO PEOPLE IN THE AUDIENCE.

JOHN, CAM'S GRANDPAPA WAS THERE AND SAT IN THE FRONT ROW.

SHERI WENT ON STAGE WITH CAM AND HANDED HIM THE T-SHIRTS AND HE STARTED THROWING THEM TO OUT STRETCHED ARMS.

SHERI SAID THAT HE HAD A BALL AND WAS A LITTLE HAM.

SHERI HANDED HIM THE LAST T-SHIRT AND CAM LOOKED AT HER WITH HUGE BLUE EYES AND SAID...

MOM, IS THIS THE LAST ONE???

SHERI SAID; YES.

CAM TOOK THE SHIRT AND RAN OFF OF THE STAGE TO WHERE PAPA JOHN WAS SITTING.

HE THREW HIM THE T-SHIRT AND CLIMBED INTO HIS LAP,  HUGGED HIM TIGHT AND SAID...

I LOVE YOU, PAPA!

SHERI SAID THAT THERE WAS NOT A DRY EYE IN THE PLACE.

THE PEOPLE LAUGHED, CLAPPED AND CRIED!

I WISH THAT I COULD HAVE BEEN THERE TO SEE IT FOR MYSELF.

WHAT A SPECIAL MOMENT FOR JOHN!!!!!!

SOMEONE ELSES'S GRANDCHILD

I am in Santa Barbara, Ca for 2 weeks.

I was on the balcony and had propped my arms on the ledge and was looking over into the court yard.

A little boy about 7 years old walked by and yelled up to me.

Hey Lady....Do you know how dangerous it is to look over the balcony????

I do, I said.

He yelled up...

Well then...You better back away from the edge and sit in a chair.

O K, I will...

I sat down in the chair and smiled.

His Mother has done a good job!

BEST COUSIN FRIENDS

Sheri had to tell the children that Aunt Melissa, Uncle Mike, Michael and Lauren are moving away.

Jordan 9 and Lauren 5 are fast friends and they are the only girls in a group of boy's.

When Jordan heard the news... She wanted to know if Lauren would be here tomorrow afternoon to swim. Sheri said no.....Jordan Cried!

Her best cousin friend is moving 10 hours away to Springfield Missouri.

Jordan will miss Lauren on the Sunday afternoon swims.

I will miss all of them so much.

This is a huge promotion for Mike but the girls are too young to understand.

I have to admit...I cry also!
