CALEB SPEAKS

Caleb is 3 1/2 years old. He is very proud of the fact that he goes to nursery school.

If anyone in the family calls him a baby, his reply is that he is a big school boy.

His Mom was sitting on the couch yesterday with her knees pulled to her chest and her arms wrapped around her knees.

Caleb didn't like this closed posture and kept try to pull her arms away so that he could get on her lap.

Finally, he got up on the couch and wiggled into his mom's lap.

His mom said, Caleb, are you a baby bird in my nest?

 NO,  He Said,

I''m a Big School Boy Bird in your nest!

BROWNIE SCOUTS

Our daughter loved being a Brownie.

Every Tuesday, I would dress her in the complete brownie scout uniform and send her off to school.

Tuesday afternoon was the Brownie meeting and she couldn't wait to go.

One Tuesday, I sent her to meet her school bus decked out in her Brownie outfit.

When the bus arrived at the house that afternoon, there she was.

I said; Honey, today was your Brownie meeting. Why didn't you go?

She looked up at me with her big blue eyes, dressed from head to toe in Brown and said....

I TER DOT!

JOHN ROSS DESCRIBES PAIN

My son had just turned 6 years old when he rushed past me while I was working in the kitchen one day.

Hey Ross, I yelled. Where are you going in such a hurry?

I gotta get my blanket..was his reply.

He returned to the kitchen with what was left of his blanket wrapped around his head.

I sat down and held him in my lap and asked him what was wrong.

He said; I don't know Mama but I think there are great big rocks in my head. They all got loose and are banging around in there! They bang from one inside of my head, bounce off and hit the other inside.

Make it stop!!!!!!!

I gave him some baby asprin and soon he was fine and playing with his cars on the floor. I watched him as he played and thought........

I am glad that he felt better but I  missed him in my lap and needing me!

Dead...Dead...Dead

When Jordan was 6, her Dad took her to her first funeral. It was for his Great Aunt. He thought it would be a good learning experience for her and afterwards, they could talk about it.

He took her to the casket and let her touch his Great Aunt's face.

Later, I was talking to Jordan and I asked her about the experience.

BAMA....Jordan, what did you think about the funeral?

JORDAN... Well Bama, it was sad. We sang long, sad songs. I got to touch her and she was hard!

BAMA...She was???

JORDAN...Yep...Hard as a rock!

BAMA...How did she look to you?

JORDAN...Well, Bama, She looked DEAD>>>DEAD>>>DEAD!!!!!!!

The Disney Cruise and Not So Scary Halloween Party

What a fun time for Michael and Lauren.

They went on a Disney Cruise with their parents and then to Disney World for the Mickey Not So Scary Halloween Party.

They are home now with many stories to tell.

One was that the ships horn did not just blow.

It played..When You Wish Upon a Star!

What wonderful memories to keep for a life time!

SOCKS

I am in the process of embellishing socks for Lauren.

I have used beads, bows, flowers and ribbons.

They have turned out so cute and the socks that I have already sent to her were a huge success.

Lauren ( 6 ) is our Girley-Girl. She loves bows in her hair and pretty clothes.

Heaven help her parents when she is a teenager and wants all the up to date clothes and shoes.

I don't mind the hours it takes to embellish the socks for her because she truely appreciates them and tells me so.

Jordan (10) our other Grand daughter, saw the socks one day while she was here. I used to make them for her when she was Lauren's age.

She picked up a pair to look at them and when I saw that, I asked her if she like for me to make some for her again.

Her answer was so sweet.

Well Bama, none of the girls at my school wear these anymore but...

If you made me a pair...I would wear them!

She didn't want to hurt my feelings. This 10 year old girl would have worn the little girl socks to school just to please her Bama.

Now, that's love!

HOW TIMES HAVE CHANGED

My grandson, Christopher (7) sent the address for a site to visit on the computer yesterday.

It is a  site with a game for us to play on the computer.

AHHHHH....What ever happened to board games played with warm bodies!

Times have changed and I must change with them.

At least he included me and remembers that I am a fun type of Grandma!

SO>>>>Let the computer games begin!!! Thanks, Christopher!
